A file won't import

CueStack plays formats iPadOS can decode (mp3, wav, m4a, aac, aiff, flac, and similar). DRM-protected files (such as tracks from a streaming service) can't be imported. Export or download a plain audio file and try again.

No sound

Check the iPad isn't muted or routed somewhere unexpected (AirPlay, a Bluetooth device). Confirm the in-app volume isn't at zero and the system volume is up.

The waveform looks flat

Quiet recordings draw a small waveform. Increase the waveform height so the shape is readable. It's a display setting and doesn't change playback.

No timecode reaching my console

Timecode is muted on the built-in speaker, Bluetooth, and AirPlay for safety. Connect a USB interface or an L/R splitter, then check that a channel is assigned to Timecode. See Audio output and Timecode.

OSC or MIDI isn't firing

Walk the checklist on Show control:

• Is the cue list armed? Messages only fire on forward playback when armed.
• Does the cue's destination exist in this device's connections? An unresolved destination shows a warning badge and fires nothing.
• Are both devices on the same network (for OSC)?
• Driving a Mac over USB-C? Use the IDAM MIDI Host destination, not the virtual source.

My cues or tracks are gone

CueStack stores everything on-device, so deleting the app removes its data. Use export/import (a full-unlock feature) to back up a project or move it between iPads. The bundle carries the project's tracks, cues, and setlists; device-local preferences (theme, tap behavior, volume) don't travel and are set per device.

FAQ

Does it need the internet? No. CueStack is on-device: no accounts, no cloud. (Show control over OSC does need a local network to reach your other gear.)

iPhone or Mac? CueStack is built for iPad. iPhone and Mac aren't supported at launch.

Is there an Android version? Not yet. iPad first; Android may follow.

Does it sync between iPads? There's no cloud sync. Use export/import to move a project between devices.
